Running on a Cold or Warm day
Is it harder to run on a cold or a warm day? It is hard to know. But running in the hills of calry in the calry 9mile 44th dominic o'hara run on a cool and a cloudy day is a lot easier than running it on a warm Summers day obviously. The perfect temperature for running would appear to be 11c but a lot of people prefer warmer than this. It will also make a difference whether the sun is shining or whether it is windy or raining. The next big race taking place in the Sligo area will be the Tubbercurry 10K on 17th March and last year though it was cool it was a sunny day and it made running quite difficult on the day from what I can remember. The wind for me is the worst condiition to run in because it is holding you back from doing a PB but this is also open for debate. One thing to remember however is that no matter the conditions it is of pertinent importance that when you are running be it in Sligo Galway or abroad that you do all of your streches beforehand to avoid serious injury.
